The Spencer Suite
The whole 3rd floor was originally servants quarters. This room was
probably used by the head of the household staff, as it is the
largest of these rooms and has an in-room bathroom. In the 1940's
this room served as one of the master bedrooms. The original marble
sink, a lovely window seat, a large flat screen TV, and nice sitting
area provide you with plenty of amenities for your comfort. We think
this room is too luxurious to be called the “Servant's Quarters,” so
we have taken the liberty to name it the "Spencer Suite."

The Captain's Quarters
The Captain's Quarters on the 3rd floor is named for the captains of
industry that have made Erie such a great waterway. A king-sized bed
in a room filled with old world charm gives way to an oversized
bathroom complete with a 2-person Jacuzzi and separate shower.

The President's Suite
This spacious room on the 2nd floor was the original master bedroom
of the house. However, there was a time when William Spencer's uncle
inhabited that room. He was a Civil War veteran, and due to a war
injury, could not be exposed to sunlight. A wardrobe was built over
the bay window in the room, and was not removed until 1991 when the
windows were exposed again. The bathroom is also not exactly
original—it was once a closet. The bath with tub and shower was
built in the 1920s for Mrs. Spencer. The fixtures and tile are
original. This room offers a king-sized 4-poster cherry bed,
nonworking fireplace, and seating area.

Mary's Room
Mary's room is named for William Spencer's wife, Mary Dupois. We
don't know if she kept a separate room, but if she did, this antique
white queen bed would have been inviting and comfortable. Two
floor-to-ceiling windows look out onto the front. Two former closets
now serve as a private in-room bathroom.

The Nursery
This 2nd floor room is the former nursery for the Spencer children.
This lovely room has a nonworking fireplace with a beautiful
inscribed mantle, an original armoire, as well as two full-sized
beds. The private bathroom is located just outside the room and is
the original bathroom to the house. This bathroom offers an
old-fashioned pull-chain water closet and king-sized clawfoot tub
with shower. Maximum occupancy of 3 people, extra person charge
applies.
$100 on weekdays, $125 on weekends and holidays

The Nanny's Room
Around the corner from the nursery the nanny would have her own room
and bath. This room is tucked nicely in the back of the house and is
private and cozy. The room features an original marble fireplace
(although no longer working), and a queen bed. The curtained off,
semi-private hallway is lined in exposed original brickwork. The
private bathroom is located in the hall and features a clawfoot tub
with shower.
